The Southern California Diamond Approach Group (SoCal) meets in Santa Barbara. The group has completed the introductory series of weekends on the nature of the soul.

The SoCal group is taught by two senior Diamond Heart teacher/ministers: Jessica Britt and Joyce Lyke.

MISSED RETREATS FEES

Dear Students,
As you know we have been attempting to clarify the missed retreat fees.   I have contributed too, by making too many exceptions etc., so to clarify the situation Joyce and I are creating a single policy as stated below.

As we are all aware of, the work is a deep, precise path that builds slowly to support our walk--unwinding the mystery of our soul and reality as a whole. So each element has value and weight. As we do not meet that often, and our group is relatively small, it is a necessity that all students make the effort (on your own time) to keep up with the teaching. Keeping in mind that what the soul receives is beyond any kind of mental knowing so when you listen to the tapes remember this, as it is of great importance: it is the honoring of yourself and your inner work of realization and maturation that is important to acknowledge.

All group members missing all or part of a weekend are expected to complete the weekend by MP3.  If the entire weekend is missed, members rent audio recordings of the weekend at the cost  $300 this includes the tapes and mailing. If you miss part of the weekend, you will get the MP3 as part of your paid tuition for the weekend, but must pay a coping and handling, which is $12.00 for the MP3 ordered and paid for at retreat. Singular order $20.

MP3’s are on loan and should be returned by the next retreat weekend. If possible, making up missed weekends should be done before the next weekend so that the flow of the teaching is not disrupted.

If you have had the teaching in another group you are still required to pay the $300 missed retreat fee.  You are not required to listen to the MP3’s but we recommend it. This missed retreat fee is less than half the cost of the weekend retreat; it is a low fee and most students in the school pay the full fee for a missed weekend.

All students in the group need to have listened to the archived tapes of past retreats (previous to your joining the group). You are expected to pay a fee of $50.00 for the teaching and $23.00 ($20.00 for copy if in MP3 format) for the tapes and mailing charge: a total $73.00. We have tried to keep the costs low so that this is financially viable for folks. If you need to spread the payments out over the time, please email Joyce and make a specific arrangement.

If you had the teaching from another Diamond Approach group, you are not required to make up the teachings, in this group from before you joined, but you are free to do so, at the same $50.00 plus $23.00 copying and handling costs.

Deadline Policy

A missed retreat fee for someone who cancels before
the deadline is $300.

A missed retreat fee for someone who cancels AFTER the
deadline is $300 plus $10 per day facility fee (charged by the Mission), or $330 for the weekend.
Since the group is closed to new students, all students now pay the missed retreat fees. As you have joined the group you are making a commitment to the teachings and to the group as a whole. You are required to pay the missed retreat fee of $200 plus site fee (see above), each time you miss a group.
 
Should you wish to listen to a tape of a retreat, which you attended in person, the MP3 rental fee is $12.00.  These discs should be ordered at the  retreat, when ordered at retreat. Price for MP3 ordered outside retreat is $20.00

Tape rental fees and policies: 

Renting tapes - The tapes you receive are on loan; they are not available for purchase, nor may they be copied or otherwise disseminated. Except for the January 2003 Intro, tapes are available only to ongoing students.

Ordering tapes Lorraine, and Martha duplicate and label tapes and CD. The following list details contacts for current or archival tapes.

Returning tapes Rentals of the most recent retreat must be returned in their entirety at the Santa Barbara retreat which follows your rental of the tapes. Return dates for earlier recordings from the SCDH library may be negotiable, based on rental date and availability. Return your rented tapes to the person who provided them to you (i.e., Lorraine, or Martha). If you need to, contact the distributor who supplied you with the tapes to negotiate an extension.

MP3 on CD

Basic rental fee---The basic rental fee for tapes from the archive is $20.00 with shipping.  Tapes may be obtained by mail or by arrangement for pick up.  You may choose to rent tapes of particular sessions or the whole retreat. Make payments to your distributor.

Teaching Fee—As a member of the group it is part of your commitment to rent and listen to missed retreats and to pay for the teaching.  For retreats missed before joining the group, the teaching fee is $50.00 per retreat.  For retreats missed after joining the group, the required $300.00 registration fee entitles you to receive tapes for that retreat, and covers the tape fee as well. Make teaching fee checks out to “The Center for the Sacred Human.” Please keep a record of your payments.

Regarding tape deliveries: Our aim is to get tapes to you within one week of your order.  Contact your tape distributor, with any requests or concerns.
